"Safina" (Persian: سفینه, Arabic: سفينة) In Arabic, the term safina translates to "vessel," while in Swahili, it means "ark." 
Safina is also a derivative of the Persian term Safineh, which relates to a collection of essays or poems.

    As a BIPOC Healer, & Teacher my work is grounded in trauma informed care, somatic awareness, & community care.

    I support families in homebirth, waterbirth, birth-centers, and hospitals. As a Doula, I have unique experiences working as part of clinical care teams of OBs, CNMs, & L&D nurses in Hospital systems; where I was trained to provide continuous Doula support to mom's during labors, c-sections, and postpartum. 

    I will always respect your individual desires, needs, and experience.  Every journey is unique, I offer calming grounded reassurance that is cultivated from a deep understanding of the physiology of pregnancy, labor, and birth; as well as the principles of somatic body work and trauma-informed care.

    My training and skills include wisdom about herbal and natural remedies, lactation support, newborn care, c-section recovery, natural labor and medical birth.

    As a Somatic Practitioner I integrates knowledge of acupressure for pregnancy & birth, reiki, perinatal massage, infant massage, perinatal cranio-sacral therapy, and cranio-sacral therapy for newborns and infants, and much more! 

    My personal birthing experiences range from natural home births and water births at birth centers to a life-saving cesarean section, enriching my empathy and understanding of diverse birth experiences & healing.
